Service Description

Create beautiful art featuring the combination of ink work and painting. In this class, students learn to mix media in a single illustration. Starting with a light pencil sketch on watercolor paper of a person, animal or still life, students will learn to depict light, shadow & form, work on color mixing & combining and end with a finished work of art. Students will start with small samples in the first session to get familiar with the handling of the tools & mediums. Scott will demonstrate ink work with both brush & pen and students will use either or both in their work. Each week, students will watch additional demonstrations by master illustrator Scott Hanna and learn more techniques to add to their skill sets helping them create their own unique finished works. Bring to first class: drawing pencils, black drawing ink & quill pens, assorted round (soft-tip) watercolor brushes, any type/brand of watercolor paints, watercolor paper or block, paint tray/palette. Additional supplies (including rare antique pen points & unusual fine art papers) will be available for purchase in class. This class meets at Scott's studio: 595 Summit Lane, Riegelsville PA 18077
