For serious lovers of fashion! This 4 week fashion designer camp explores famous modern designers most memorable works and helps students discover the design methods of the fashion world today! Get a close-up look at important & intriguing pieces by designers Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Vivienne Westwood & Betsey Johnson from the collections of the instructor to discover their secrets. Uncover the methods used to create the new textures, patterns and proportions. Then, sketch your own fashion ideas, create concept/mood boards & drape your own original garment designs in cloth! Drawing & concept board supplies & draping muslin are provided in class. This class is taught by fashion designer Pamela Ptak who makes custom garments for red carpet events & worked 12 seasons on designer collections for the Paris Haute Couture and NY Fashion Week.
