Service Description
In this class students will create 3D projects each week which will be photographed in the classroom for their college or professional portfolios. Students will make a new creation each week as they experiment with the theories and mediums presented by the instructor. Working with paper, cardboard, glue, wire, cloth and other simple materials, students will create sophisticated conceptual art. All assignments will be started in class where they may ask questions & get help from the instructor. Students will finish their creations at home in preparation for a constructive critique in the classroom the following week. Using these college art class methods will help prepare students for transition to art school later. Your art portfolio presents your finest abilities & artistic point-of-view to colleges or clients. Students preparing for art schools with a "foundation" year must show they can master a variety of mediums & skills including figure drawing & anatomy, 2D & 3D design, light & value, color theory, drawing & painting, photo composition & concept, etc. Students preparing for a technical art college also benefit greatly from these foundation classes. These portfolio prep classes are designed to give students the skills needed to make their portfolios shine. ALL portfolio prep classes are appropriate for beginner through advanced artists. Instructor gives assignments to group but works with each individual independently.
