Service Description

Discover the delights of a haute couture fashion design workroom as you try some incredible 3-dimentional art forms used by fashion designers! In this workshop, you'll work with needle & thread to make samples of a number of floral embellishments from a variety of fine silk fabrics, beads, sequins, etc. You may also work on sample size dress forms to develop your dress application of the floral motifs. Instructor will demonstrate how a dramatic floral motif is planned on a garment during it's draping or pattern making design stages. Bring to class: Bring a notebook & pencils, needle & threads, fabric scissors, fine tipped scissors, 1 yard of silk chiffon, 1 yard of silk organza - any color.
