Service Description
Color theory is an ever-changing subject which adapts to changes in society & advancements in pigment production & availability. Color study classes at AFI™ aim to expand the understanding of serious art students as they learn a new theory & prepare original work using the new concepts working in a variety of mediums for their college, professional, & fine art portfolios. In Color Theory: Pre-Raphaelites, students will study concepts of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood (PRB) founded in 1848 by John Everett Millais, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, and William Holman Hunt, who staged a radical color revolution in Victorian England. Instructor Scott Hanna will work individually with students to advance their development at their fastest pace. Color Study classes are appropriate for college bound students as well as serious fine artists. This class is taught by award-winning artist Scott Hanna whose work has been shown in the Smithsonian Institute, the Museum of Comic Art NYC, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art LA and the Cartoon Art Museum San Francisco. Bring to first class: notebook, sketch pad, pencils, preferred paint medium & canvas/board. This class meets at Scott's studio: 595 Summit Lane, Riegelsville PA 18077
