Service Description

The artistic study of human anatomy is one of the foundation classes required in all design schools. This 6 week class taught by award winning illustrator & comic artist Scott Hanna, teaches you basic anatomy in the actual human proportion and discusses the differences in the "heroic" proportion. In class, you'll work with hand-outs from artistic anatomy text books, receive drawing demonstrations & lectures and study replica skeletal forms. Students will keep a class sketchbook to practice their drawing & record their progress. This class is taught by award-winning artist Scott Hanna whose work has been shown in the Smithsonian Institute, the Museum of Comic Art NYC, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art LA and the Cartoon Art Museum San Francisco. Bring to first class: an 11"x17" or larger drawing sketch pad and a 4B drawing pencil.
