Service Description
The artistic study of animal anatomy gives an art student a much deeper understanding of organic 3D form, relationship & movement and can offer rich detail to artistic compositions. This 4 week class taught by award winning illustrator & comic artist Scott Hanna, teaches you basic anatomy in the actual animal proportion, covering a new species each week and discussing the differences and similarities between the different animal forms. In class, you'll work with hand-outs from artistic anatomy text books, receive drawing demonstrations & lectures and study 3D sculptures and skeletal forms. Drawings will cover both skeletal and muscular structures. Students will keep a class sketchbook to practice their drawing & record their progress. This class is taught by award-winning artist Scott Hanna whose work has been shown in the Smithsonian Institute, the Museum of Comic Art NYC, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art LA and the Cartoon Art Museum San Francisco.
